Pro Bono Services for the Florida Community

To live is to give.

What are Sahil Vijay Law, PLLC Pro Bono Services?

I started my career in the legal industry by working with pro se litigants through the Middle District of Florida Bankruptcy Clinic through the Barry University, Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law. My first ever client through the clinic ended up having all of their student loans dismissed, something we in the industry never hear about...its nearly impossible to have student loans dismissed. This changed my clients life. The fact that we have the power to help people change their lives through the legal system obligates us to use that power for the greater good. Our pro bono services are limited but we promise no surprises and complete transparency.

Pro Bono Services Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Pro Bono literally means “without charge.” There is zero billing from us. In most cases you simply pay for the court costs/filing fees, nothing else. We even cover postage, if needed.

We handle multiple types of services but for the 2024 through 2025 period, we will limit our services to Bankruptcy, Foreclosure and Debt Defense services. That doesn’t mean we wont entertain other options, just contact us and see if we can help.

The process is simple, contact us by clicking here. And we will schedule a quick consultation – if we can help – you’ll go through a document retention process and we will take it from there. We do have strict limitations on Pro Bono services such as focusing on No-Asset Bankruptcies or Homestead Protected Foreclosure services, but we can explain during our consultation.

Many of our Pro Bono programs are staffed by law students under the supervision of a licensed Attorney. As as such we are limited on the amount of clients we can take a single given time. Our students come from the Barry University, Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law and the Florida Agricultural And Mechanical University – College of Law. If you are law student looking to join our program as a volunteer or for credit intern, please contact us.

Frequently Asked Pricing Questions

No, although many of our services are flat fee based – we do have a traditional billing approach when needed. Our traditional billing approach is based on a hourly billing.

Our rates vary depending on the staff member working on your task – however these rates are between $45 and $350 an hour.

Text – Absolutely! In fact, our managing Founder and Managing Attorney XXX did over 600 hours of volunteer services (locally in Orlando) even prior to becoming an attorney! From working at a Bankrcupty Clinic to feeding the homeless at a local soup kitchen. Obviously, there are certain limits of what we can do but simply email us at probono@leo.legal and we will reply with a pro bono request form.

Yes, in fact most of our clients end up paying our fees through a payment plan. We can offer a no interest 12 month plan or a longer term financed plan through a third party creditor. Whichever is easier!

We accept all kinds of payments including credit cards, debit cards, direct ACH debit, wire transfers, cash, physical checks/money orders and even cryptocurrency.
